نظر به پیشرفت و تقاضای روز افزون کاربران شبکه های ارتباطات سیار به سرعت و حجم بالا برای انتقال اطلاعات، ارتقاء زیرساخت‌های مخابراتی در کشور ضروری به نظر می‌رسد. با توجه به اهمیت این موضوع در کشور و توسعه روزافزون شبکه‌های سیار، برگزاری سمیناری با این موضوع جهت آشنایی مهندسین با این مهم و ایجاد انگیزه جهت فعالیت‌های آتی ایشان از جمله بسترسازی برای ورود نسل‌های جدید، از اهمیت زیادی برخوردار است.
سمینار «شبکه‌های نوین ارتباطات بی سیم و سیار» با نگاهی ویژه به ورود نسل ۳ شبکه‌های ارتباطی به میهن اسلامی، بر آن است که جو علمی و صنعتی کشور را به سمتی سوق دهد که با بسترسازی مناسب، زمینه‌ی ورود نسل‌های آتی را فراهم کند.
